​Alessandra Corine Ambrósio is a Brazilian supermodel, actress, and entrepreneur who has become a global icon in the fashion industry. Born on April 11, 1981, in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, she is renowned for her work with Victoria's Secret and her influence on international fashion.​

Early Life and Modeling Beginnings

Alessandra was born to Lucilda and Luiz Ambrósio and has a younger sister named Aline. Of Italian and Polish descent, she developed an interest in modeling at a young age. At 12, she enrolled in modeling classes, and by 14, she was among the 20 finalists in the Elite Model Look competition in Brazil. Her early career included modeling for Dilson Stein, who also discovered Gisele Bündchen. 

Rise to Supermodel Status

Alessandra's breakthrough came with a cover shoot for Elle Brazil, leading to campaigns with major brands such as Guess, Revlon, Christian Dior, and Giorgio Armani. In 2000, she began working with Victoria's Secret, becoming an official Angel in 2004 and the first spokesperson for the PINK line.
